We are so excited to be representing this beautiful family farm and business! Think of this as the next Stonewall Kitchen! Vaughn Davis is a former chemical engineer that has lived all over the world. He got bored in retirement and decided to do what he was raised on — farming his family’s land in Rockford, Ohio. Using his expert engineering skills, he has fine-tuned many of the processes of farming -- and is an expert in agriculture, engineering, and how agriculture affects the economy.
What’s the New England tie here? Vaughn splits his time between Ohio and Maine! He has a mill on the NH/Maine border that processes many of the crops he grows in Ohio. They make roasted sunflower seeds, infused sunflower oil, gourmet popcorn, and lavender honey. They also send their heirloom corn and grains to many distinguished breweries and distilleries!
This 40-year institution has been helping people find love for decades. Unlike the apps, they hand match people based on their compatibility. They cater to executives looking for relationships. They offer coaching, discretion (unlike the apps), and take the frustration out of dating. Jill Vandor and Laura Kenney are both expert matchmakers who would make excellent interviews about dating trends, relationship issues, or even a feature about this unique company.
As we enter the holiday season— dating, relationships, and family issues are always great talkers for any newscast, website, or publication.
McSea Books is a Maine publishing company that makes children books, and many of their books are written by local authors throughout New England. Their pride in Maine and Massachusetts is showcased in many of their titles such as “My Maine,” My Massachusetts,” “How to Catch a Keeper,” Heartstones,” and a holiday favorite,” The Maine Christmas Song,” which paints the story of the local hit by Con Fullam. They also have a new book coming out soon by folk singer Rick Charette based on his popular song “Alligator in the Elevator.”
Owner, author, and publisher Stephanie Mulligan started this company when she wanted to get her first book, “How to Catch a Keeper,” published. Since then, she has written many books, including one about her husband, Matt Mulligan, “Just a Kid from Maine”, about his rise from local Maine kid who never played football — to the longest-serving NFL player from Maine. He also spent time as a New England Patriot! Her story is an exceptional feature. The books each have a unique story to be told as well. Please consider Stephanie for any interview about being a female entrepreneur, a local author, or about any of her beloved books.
LexRx is a Nurse Practitioner-owned and operated aesthetic injectables practice, offering expertise in neurotoxin and dermal filler treatments. They also have their own skin care line that was awarded “Best of Boston”.” Co-founders Alexa Nicholls Costa and Alexandra Rogers are both dynamic female entrepreneurs and experts about the med spa industry. They also have an education side of the company called “Inject with Lex.” They don’t just cater to women, and have many male clients,as well.
Their latest newsworthy story is that they are running “Inject with Lex” classes on real human cadavers (That’s a story I’d click on!).
Alexa and Alexandra would make excellent experts for interviews about the medical aesthetic industry, female entrepreneurship, or skin care experts. They are also local moms. Their skin care is also a great idea for any gift guide.
This mainstay on the Raynham automile is owned and operated by one of Massachusetts’ few female dealers. Denise Bruno grew up in the car business alongside her brothers Michael and Robert Barboza. Their father, Jack Barboza, was a longtime dealer of many brands and together they started this business along with their sister dealership Route 44 Hyundai. Denise and Tim Bruno are both available for expert interviews about the car industry, and their philanthropy. The dealership is a major donor to many local charities including local food pantries and Toys for Tots. They also sponsor scholarships for local children at the nearby Burtwood School of Performing Arts.
Newsmaker Marketing is helping them tell their authentic story of their dealership to their social media channels. However, if you’re looking for a local expert on the economy, car industry, ongoing inventory issues, or you need an excellent live shot location for blizzard aftermath — this is a great resource. (Just think about all the cars everyone has to carefully clean up. Fly the helicopter over and you got yourself a great visual!!!)
This is an amazing resource for any story surrounding cannabis. The Core Cannabis Museum is an excellent backdrop and resource for any story about marijuana, prison reform, or social justice issues surrounding cannabis. Seed is the dispensary side of the company and a curated cannabis market — and together they form a unique experience for education around cannabis and a way to purchase excellent products. This company is owned by April Arrasate. It’s a majority-minority-owned company with many employees personally effected by the war on drugs and incarceration. April or Tomas Gonzalez are both excellent interviews for any story surrounding cannabis. April is also a lawyer— and can speak to the legal issues around cannabis from a federal and state perspective. She also could be an excellent resource for the future of psychedelic legalization, and what that could look like.
